I attach three nights of PHD2 log files from this last week.
I recently upgraded my telescope to an Espirit 100+AZ EQ6 GT mount, in order to carry my Atik 16200 camera.
The graphs show a +/- 12 arcsecond saw-tooth pattern that repeats - I tried improving balance and it improved but still recurs - last two nights less obvious early in evening but more so later on - between those sessions mount moved from M38 to Leo diffierent areas of sky but I also noted some deterioration in seeing.
Do you think this is due to balance? The mount is quite stiff, I presume due to grease, and so it is quite difficult to accurately balance it - and the camera is very heavy, meaning that imbalance could be insignificant.....
Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Andy
