Hi,

I have a Atik 16IC monochrome camera, which I have not used for a long time.
Recently I have tried to use it with PHD2 (ver 2.6.4) as well as PHD (ver 1.14.2).  However, PHD2 cannot find the camera.
After I select "Atik 16 series, mono" in "Connect Equipment" window, "No Atik cameras detected" message appears when I push "Connect" button.
The camera is listed in Windows 10 device manager as Atik 16IC, and also recognized by Artemis capture software.
Similarly the camera is not recognized by Nebulosity (ver 4.1.7), when I select "Atik 16IC".  However, when I select "Atik Universal", the camera is recognized.  Unfortunately I cannot find "Atik Universal" in the camera list of  PHD2.  I may have selected the wrong camera.  I use the latest Atik camera driver (ver. 4.1.4.4).
Is there anyone who uses Atik 16IC in PHD2?

P.S.
I've attached the debug log.

Hi masami,

Thanks for posting the debug log. It is showing that for some reason PHD2 is unable to find the camera. I found at least one reference in the forum to somebody using the Atik 16IC in PHD2, so we know that at least it had been working for some.  There have not been any significant updates to the Atik camera code in PHD2 AFAICT between then and version 2.6.4.

Just a hunch, but have you tried connecting to the camera as Atik Gen3 in PHD2 to see if that works?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your quick reply.
Yes, my 16IC did work in PHD several years ago, if I recall correctly.
As suggested, I tried to select Atik Gen3, color and mono.  Strangely it worked!!!  I thought Atik Gen3 meant the camera like Atik 314L+, which I had before.
Anyway now I can use my 16IC, and use PHD2.
I'd appreciate your kind support.

masami,

I'm glad to hear that worked.  In case anyone else runs into this problem, I added a note to the Camera Support page on the PHD2 Wiki.

Hmm... I have one of these too, but I have Linux, and the Gen 3 also doesn't work under Linux.

I'm not really sure what to do next. I have a qhy5, old style, which does work. But the 16IC is cooled and I thought I might get more sensitive guiding.

Regards

Steve.

Steve,

Have you tried connecting to the camera using the Atik INDI driver?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the suggestion.

There doesn't seem to be an Atik INDI driver.

How do you set it up?

Regards

Steve.

The Atik INDI driver is supplied by Cloudmakers: http://www.cloudmakers.eu/atikdrivers/
No idea if it supports the 16ic though.
