OpenNARS for Applications v0.8.8 Release

OpenNARS for Applications v0.8.8 is now available:

Since no bugs were found since July 17, and the Python scripts have been improved and are backwards-compatible, the v0.8.8 release tag has been updated to the newest commit.

Among the script additions which are now included is a ConceptNet plugin. Of course also this new channel can be chained with the others (vision and natural language channels), example:

a cat is made of fur?

a dog is what?

The query results from ConceptNet blend in nicely (revise with) with derived information.

v0.8.9 will be reserved for a potential bugfix release in case issues with v0.8.8 will be found.

Also, v0.9.0 is in development since some time now, it will include major changes, candidates are:

- Numeric terms with ability to induce relationships between them using arithmetic

- Addition of some missing NAL-5 features.

- Improved handling of NAL-3/4 compounding.

- Some feature additions motivated by new psychological experiments.

All of these points are currently being explored in experimental pathfinder branches.
