Hello everyone,

Hello NARS Development Team,

I have been experimenting with NARS-GPT  and attempting to connect NARS to the Internet so that NARS-GPT can continuously learn and gather information without interruption. However, I have encountered an issue where NARS-GPT occasionally stops suddenly while retrieving information. Is it true that NARS-GPT cannot be continuously fed with information, or is there a limitation within NARS-GPT that might be causing this?

Thank you for your attention and assistance.

Best regards,

Wafiq

For now, my approach to managing this issue involves implementing a "Monitor and Restart the Continuous Feed" function that restarts NARS every 5 minutes, allowing it to resume information retrieval afterward. However, I’m unsure if this is the most appropriate solution to address the problem.

I would appreciate any insights or suggestions the team might have on this matter.

Hi Wafiq, what do you mean that NARS is stopping? Is there a crash, or something else?

Hi!

Interesting. I couldn't replicate that issue.
We had NARS-GPT evaluated on the entire BabI tasks dataset spanning about 20K inputs.
A I had it running on my phone for a year (with likely less than 20K input though), it never got stuck during that time.
When set to run with fixed-sized memory it should not be able to get stuck.

If it still happens to you, would you be willing to share the input you fed to the system and the encodings that resulted?
Maybe some unicode characters sneaked in and caused havoc.

Best regards,
Patrick
