We have been working behind the scenes to create a better Open
Marketplace "Partner" button. The temporary one can be found on the
footer of http://www.wikidomo.com. We are trying to deal with two
issues, the right term for the "application/partner" that uses the OM
API. Some obvious choices are:
Application, Partner, Powered By,

Opps! I hit enter too quickly...continued form initial partial
posting...

We would like suggestions for the wording the button should have.

Joanne has done some preliminary work on some logos. They can be
downloaded from the files section of the group:
http://groups.google.com/group/open-marketplace/files (The file is
called om_button.pdf)

Please comment here in the group on what you like or don't like so
Joanne and Ramal can work to finish this project.

Another button that we have identified the need for is an "OM
Supporter" button that can be used by those involved in OM to promote
our involvement. It will be worked on after this button is completed.

Thanks and sorry for the split posting :)

Jose

Joanne,

I like this version. Two ideas from my part:

1) Rounding the outside box on the left side
2) Moving the word "Partner" below Open Marketplace

Anyone else have feedback for Joanne?

Just in case the image does not attach to the message, I have added it to the files in the group (opm2 (2).jpg)

HI Jose, Joanne…

Like the blue feel, not sure if we should move to a new frame for the OM. Here's something Ramal had worked out. Just for considerations… Haven't quite figured out the words to go with it yet, but now that we're looking at just the buttons, would like everyone's thoughts on these as well.

I like the teardrop look, but I also like the rounded square.

I’m not sure about the graduated edging  - it looks busy at a small sizes. Maybe Joanne and Ramal can work out what they can try next.

Hi Everyone,

I'm soooo confused!

I like the blue feel too but not sure about the black...black seems a bit harsh. I also like the white though.

As for the shape - definitely don't like the circle - reminds me of an eyeball - but I do like both the rounded square and upturned teardrop shape. Perhaps the teardrop shape minus the black? Say blue/white or white/blue?

Anyhow, don't know if my feedback helps or hinders...but you asked :)

Cheers,
Vesi

Everyone, the teardrop is nice but it changes the brand identity, looks as though the teardrop is the part of the logo which it is not. Let’s keep the identity clean on a simple button. Black is too dark blue is better.

The kindda linked the teardrop, but you’re the expert! Anyway, let’s see what Joanne comes up with based on the feedback.

Thanks!
