Hi Guys,

Trying OLA for the first time, great project. I'm sure this is a silly problem but couldn't find any info. I'm getting  this error: Failed to open /dev/ttyUSB0 Permission denied Changing permissions in the device didn't make a difference. I can access the web UI.

Thanks!

What user are you running as, and what does ls -l /dev/ttyUSB0 show ?

I found the problem. Read permission for all users was missing. What's the best way to configure the permissions?

thanks!

What group owns the device? Normally it's dialout or plugdev. Add the
user to that group.

The device is owned by group uucp. Added user to group, rebooted and now it works. Thanks!
