After some good times debugging and testing the Art-Net 3 Node DMX Out, I am happy to announce the fist release.

Main features
See detail description for Art-Net 3 packages implementation -> http://www.raspberrypi-dmx.com/raspberry-pi-art-net-dmx-out

The DMX Out is configurable similar to the Open source Raspberry Pi RDM Controller USB Pro -> http://www.raspberrypi-dmx.com/raspberry-pi-art-net-dmx-out/configuration

The Raspberry Pi Art-Net 3 Node DMX Out is successfully tested with the following hardware/software :
  • Hardware
    •  BitWizard Raspberry Pi DMX board
  • Software
    •  DMX-Workshop
    •  The ArtNetominator
    •  Art-net controller (an Android App)
    •  Q Light Controller+
    •  Martin MPC
    •  DMX ArtNET controller V14 for Windows
    •  Luminair 3 (and 2)
    •  OSRAM DMX Wi-Fi Controller

Thanks, Arjan

I would like to try this but links to kernel.img & kernel7.img have not been fruitful.

I have corrected the links.

Despite all the three's, it seems like you don't support the Pi 3 yet. Wouldn't that be an ideal marketting line, ArtNet 3 on a Pi 3 (or is that a limitation of Circle)?

Have you tested it with OLA's ArtNet implementation?

Hi Peter,

Both Raspberry Pi model 1's and model 2's are powerful enough to run the Art-Net 3 Node.
I can deliver a kernel.img for the RPi model 3, that is not an issue at all. However, delivering a kernel.img for RPi 3 might create the expectation that Wifi is supported.
There is no open source driver for the Wifi module BCM43438 which is used on the RPi 3. Hence, it would be time consuming to implement Wifi. I am looking into alternatives.

I have not tested the node with OLA's ArtNet implementation, yet. Although, I am using using the OpenLighting rdmpro_sniffer  (with Raspberry Pi RDM Controller with USB) to validate the DMX output from the RPi Art-Net Node.

In general, is Wifi being used in an Art-Net configuration? Is it reliable enough? Not (too) many UDP packages are lost?

Thanks, Arjan
