[App] calender invites

When I create a calender event in google calender and sent it invitees, the invitee on iPod/ipad/iPhone cannot open the event in the calender app from email. It takes me to website. How do I make the calender as default handler? Accounts being used are gmail and hotmail. All these happening on devices only.

I don't use the web based google calendar, but my default account on my mobile devices is Google and when I create an event on my phone my wife gets it on her Exchange account or Google account depending on which email address I send it to. My daughter only has a Google account so she gets it there. Both of them accept or decline on their iPhones.

On iPhones, as a recipient of a calendar event, go into the calendar app then tap on inbox at bottom right to accept or decline the invitation.
