Role-MSSQL Database Admin

Location: NJ (Remote)

Duration-6 Months

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Installation and Maintenance of MS SQL server (2014 – 2019)

• SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Group installation/maintenance/troubleshooting

• Azure SQL Server/Database maintenance/troubleshooting

• SQL Server Backup and Restore

• SQL Server Performance Tuning - Troubleshooting, Performance Monitoring and Tuning

• Security, User Management and linked servers

• Daily Maintenance activities

• SQL Server TDE Encryption & Decryption

• Documentation of Runbooks/Procedures

• Enforce SOX standards, Compliance and Audits

• Collaborate with Offshore DBA teams

Work Experience and Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with the above responsibilities.

• Expert level T-SQL programming skill is essential.

• Expert level Powershell skill is strongly desired. Experience with other scripting languages is nice to have.

• Strong experience with database development and SQL/index tuning

• Solid understanding of SDLC

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering

• Strong Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities

• Working knowledge of ServiceNow is desired
