The Systems Engineer is responsible for the implementation and support of the company’s IT server, storage, O365, AWS, Azure and Active Directory systems for on premise and public cloud environments.
- Monitor servers and resources through monitoring tools and respond to alerts.
- Coordinate, diagnose and troubleshoot incoming end user requests through ServiceNow.
- Provide technical support services to end users either local or remote with problems or issues related to IT services.
- Support and maintains effective relationships with end users and team members.
- Maintain and update tickets within ServiceNow within established SLAs.
- Monitor vendor security and vulnerability alerts. Review the alerts, identify fixes and remediate security vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of relevant experience implementing and supporting Office 365 and Azure AD.
- 2+ Years of relevant experience implementing and supporting AWS.
- 7+ years’ experience build, administration, and maintenance of Windows Server, VMWare virtualization, SAN storage technologies and Active Directory systems.
- 5+ years’ experience developing, implementing and maintaining company standards for server configurations.
- PowerShell scripting and automation experience preferred
- Advanced written and oral communication skills to effectively disseminate information
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
- Team player who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
