EG Ver 1.6 nullability Option in Template Source

Hi,
I meant to ask this in our open-ils reports meeting today.
Does anyone know of or have any documentation concerning the new option in 1.6 and 2.0 to check that nullability box within the template source when creating a template in order to then select parent, child, none (right join, left join, or inner join)?

If my memory and the DIG meeting notes serve me correctly, Dan Scott
was going to "share some documentation on enforcing nullability for
reports." I'm not sure if that will include the detail you are
looking for, but I suspect it might. I can check with him and see if
it will (and perhaps also an ETA for the documentation).
