What’s the future of Open Government in NYC? Join reps from Twitter and inside City government for a breakfast discussion.

Details:

On May 16, the Mayor and MOME unveiled the Road Map for the Digital City, which outlined the Mayor’s goal of making NYC the nation’s leading digital city and expanding its use of Facebook, foursquare, Tumblr, Twitter and 311Online to directly interact with residents. During the panel, City officials will speak about how the City is innovating to connect with New Yorkers more efficiently through the Road Map for the Digital City. Questions for the panel can be tweeted to @NYCMome using the hashtag #IWNY.

At the breakfast panel, Deputy Mayor for Operations Stephen Goldsmith will deliver opening remarks; Jessi Hempel, Senior Writer, FORTUNE, will serve as moderator. A Q&A will follow. Panelists for Setting the Digital Standard: Open Government in NYC will include:

● Seth Pinsky – President, New York City Economic Development Corporation

● Carole Post – Commissioner, Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications

● Rachel Sterne – Chief Digital Officer, Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment

● Adam Sharp – Manager, Government and Political Partnerships, Twitter

Due to space limitations, advance registration is required. RSVP to rs...@media.nyc.gov by Tuesday, June 7. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. Doors open at 8am when light refreshments will be served. The discussion will run from 8:30am-9:30am. Time Warner Corporate Headquarters are located on 58th Street between 8th & 9th Avenues.
