LandMapR Conference Presentations

In the month since the LandMapR conference, Niagara Research has been working on speeding up as well as integrating Grid Read/Write with FlowMapR and we are very close to finishing.

Now I would like to send a call-out for the presentations given at the conference. The purpose of the discussion board is to exchange ideas of how to change and improve LandMapR, and the presentations offered may assist with the continuation of the initial discussion. It's best to post your presentations on the project page instead of the discussion forum since there is more space. If you would like to post your presentation and have a gmail account, I will add you as a contributing member to the project.

Hi Sarah,

nice approach you are taking here. I see some overlap which happens with the geomorphomerty project webpage. Whatever you and your team mates prefer, you could also host some discussion/documents at www.geomorphomerty.org if you like.

Hi Sarah, 

We had some problems with the webex files which were recorded during the conferences.  The files seem corrupted. I tried several approaches to recover with the help of Webex support. Unfortunately, no solutions have permit to bring back to life the videos for now. I tried some linux tools but unfortunately the format of webex is not open.  I hope I would be able to recovered them but, until that time, I will suggest to everyone on the mailing list to post there conference here.

As mention by Hannes, I would find it particularly interesting the idea to link geomorphometry.org and open-geomorphometry.org. (or post at least a link on geomorphometry), because the google groups has not the same visibility. That is not very good if we want to produce a tool useful, usable and used.

Unfortunately I couldn't attach the original power point files due to size restrictions. I hope this solution is sufficient, however, if necessary, we should find a different means of sharing them.
