I am crowdfunding a project

Hi folks,

I have been working on a project to create open data around plant
varieties, the first step of which is to build a universal seed
catalog. I am crowdfunding this work via pledges from the public. You

The project is at 50% funding, and there are only a few more days left.

I would very much appreciate your support, by which I do not
necessarily mean a donation (although that would help), but instead
if you could spread the word (on Twitter, Facebook, G+, by email,
etc.) to anyone who might be interested in the project who *could*
donate.

In particular, this project would be interesting to anyone concerned
about large agribiotech companies like Monsanto, GMOs in food,
agricultural biodiversity, and the effects of global climate change on
agricultural productivity, and perhaps an interest in how open data
could help fix those problems.

P.S. Yes, of course the data will be released under a license that
will allow it to be incorporated into the Open Food project!
