Looking for a FOOD DATABASE (API) to be accessed by JSON or something else

Hi, I'm looking for a food database which I can use at my website or APP to let people access FOOD DATA.

I need for each record at least: 

 

Barcode/Eancode:XXXXX

Brand:XXXXX

Product:XXXXX

Ingredients: XXXXX, UUUUU, BBBB etc.  

 

Where can I find a database or a API to get this data UK & Germany wide or better Europe wide?

 

Please help me so I can help others.

Hi,

We are creating such a database of food products at http://openfoodfacts.org
The data is available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL) in csv and
RDF. There's also an experimental JSON API that is used by iPhone and
Android apps.

There are over 5000 food products listed so far, all of them through
crowdsourcing. Most of the products are from France, Belgium and Spain,
but the site is launched in 10 languages (some of them not fully
translated yet).

We are looking for people in all parts of the world to help us grow the
database and develop versions in all languages. Let me know if you would
like to help!
