Open Gov West’s unconference-style format enables participants to be presenters. With plenty of conference rooms and an open schedule, participants post session pitches by 9 AM on the day of the unconference. Attendees vote on sessions by placing one or more of their stickers on their favorite sessions (everyone gets a set number of stickers). Then the top sessions are placed into the conference grid and everyone goes to their first session. Open Gov West will also have a central track of pre-arranged discussions and talks. The pre-set track will be streamed live over the web. If you’d like to submit a pitch for the pre-set track, please email sessions [at] opengovwest [dot] com to submit a session idea. The format of the Open Gov West Unconference is heavily (and appreciatively) borrowed from VanChange Camp and Mind Camp. STAY TUNED FOR PRE-ARRANGED SESSION CONTENT!
