Hello.

========================================== translates by
translate.google.com ====

I was not the first time I've heard about problems with kickstarter.com.

And, importantly, in other cases it was not related to genetics,
or something a little potentially dangerous! ..

So, for example, was denied placement Russian project of manufacturing
chips at home
(The project is hosted by the American mediator and all legal
U.S. citizenship requirements have been met)
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/barsmonster/595624345?token=6d71abcc

What do you think about this?

Maybe it makes sense to organize a fundraiser (donate) for the
creation and promotion
a new platform that will replace kickstarter? .. With the use of
Russian programmers
I think I can get away with not a big budget ...

Vladimir

Hello.

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/barsmonster/595624345?token=6d71abcc

That's quite a project goal. I like it.

I'd like to see some organic semiconductor open manufacturing, but that is
more current, so there will be more patent holders suing you...if you dare.
attempt it.

We were following the news of Kickstarter's decision, and I just wanted to pop in and say hello.

Microryza is a crowdfunding platform that's funded a number of DIYBio projects (and is also currently fundraising for one by Genspace!), and at this time we have a considerably more open policy to citizen science projects!

Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or are interested in launching a campaign.

lest we forget:
Kickstarter has a high profile, but last time I checked there are at least 80 other crowdfunding platforms, some of which have hosted substantial projects so its sort of a non-issue as other crowd funders will migrate to where their needs are met.....

yes, but in other places, those same projects, collect much less!

For example, compare:

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/printrbot/printrbot-your-first-3d-printer

http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/reprappro-huxley-3d-printer-kits

I've noticed printrbot from the start and think he's onto something.
I've not researched it fully, but his premium level for all parts
in a kit was $200, (including the self printable plastic parts),
whereas reprappro wanted $600 for a kit without the self printable plastic parts!

No wonder he got fewer orders and colected less money.
Printrbot delivered more value it seems.

Now what has happened with both of these? Did they both deliver?
Anyone have one? Know any reviews?

(translates by translate.google.com)

I do not think that this is due to the difference in price - on the
contrary, Americans are generally rich and prefer to buy the more
expensive stuff ...
(Eg Chinese android phone can be purchased for $ 60-80, but as we know
in America prefer to buy the iPhone (or anroid cost several hundred
$), even those who use it as a regular voice phone and hardly use his
smartphone functions)

If you compare other similar projects on different platforms, it also
notice that kickstarter com collect many times more ...

PS I think I even know why and how to do a new project ...
(One of the factors - is hyped platform
The number of visitors from America just maybe, Americans give more money ...
But this is not the only or the main factor, there is a "thin" the
"little things" and "secrets")

========================== (rus.orig.) ======

Printrbot did stress ease of assembly -- a value of customer's time more.
Americans definitely pay for that.

Americans can shop well, and especially
when paying via kickstarter they mostly want something tangible in return.
The status conscious "Get what you pay for", and "It's better if I paid more"
attitudes established products, not so much for things
coming into existence as on both crowdfunding platforms.
