Hi all,
A few questions
1. is this build list for rats or mice? (ie large or small drive-- not sure if there is a components difference)
2. is there a components list for rat for 32 tetrodes? should I just double all amounts or is there another concern?
3. do you recommend getting the screws custom made by antrim? or is there a different/better fabricator?
4. The github page for the large 64 drive is empty-- https://github.com/open-ephys/shuttle-drive/tree/master/large_64drives -- is there any information on this? (including CAD files, etc)

I'm sure I will think of more questions as these get answered. Thanks.

not yet, sorry. Happy if you could help with that though :).

We have only used antrim.

I'm the one using these drives and jakob uses the mouse ones. I just have not had time to put this stuff together. Umm, its gonna be largely the same as mouse drive. I really wish you had built one of htese when you in the lab!

I need jakob to give me commit access to that repo (which is just made to dump files for the paper) and I will add the rat stuff.

I'm sure I will think of more questions as these get answered. Thanks.

I can lend a hand putting together a 32TT parts list if I know what is different from the mouse drive-- besides the numbers of components the only different things should be the drive body CAD file, the screws, and then maybe things that connect to the screws? Is that right?

Yeah, I wish I built one too.. is it the drive Hector is using now? Molly may be able to help if so.

Re the 64TT drive, would rather have updates/files for 32TT drive first if possible :)

Oh another thing-- are the ground screws just normal bone screws or is there something special?

A few questions:
- I see you uploaded some stuff to the repo-- thanks!! Do you have an EIB design for 32TT?
- There are a bunch of different drive body designs upload (I think? not sure what these are: central, insert_bilaterial, insert_central, no_cannula). What is what, or more simply, what should I use? (I don't have solidworks here so I can't see what's what, sorry-- might just be easiest to put a few lines in the readme about what the files are and I'll work on getting solidworks)
- I see your shuttles say "short." Are long shuttles available? I need as much travel distance as possible :-p
- are the ground screws you are using just regular bone screws?

Hi all,

First, thank you to the Open Ephys team for all the great work!
I was wondering if Hannah or someone else had managed to design a 32 tetrode version of the Shuttle Drive? If so, would there be a components list and 3D models of the drive body, cone, etc. somewhere?

Thanks a lot in advance!

El.

Hi,
I designed the pcb for a 32tt drive and was just going to use the body of the other drive with only half the slots filled. Is that of use to you?

Hi, thanks for the fast answer!
I will be using the 128ch EIB from Spike Gadgets: https://spikegadgets.com/products/128-eib/, so I don't think I would need your PCB, but thanks a lot for proposing!
I was also thinking about just using the 64 TT drive body with half of slots filled but if the size and weight can be reduced, it's always better, no? If we end up designing a 32 TT drive body, I'll mention it here in case others are interested in it.

Thanks,

El.
