Hello,

I would like to visualize the data I recorded with Open Ephys. When I try to open it with the file reader in Open Ephys, it asks for a file with the ".oebin" extension. However, my files have a ".continuous" extension. So I downloaded "open ephys-matlab-tools". However, I have never used Matlab before. Therefore, I do not know how to do it. I couldn't find the necessary explanation on the internet either. I would be very happy if you could help. If necessary, I know some Python programming.

Hi,

Looks like the data you recorded is in Open Ephys Format. To load Open Ephys Format data in the File Reader, you need to install the "Open Ephys Data Format" plugin from the Plugin Installer. Once you install it, you should be able to load the structure.openephys file (located inside the same directory where all your .continuous files are saved) in the File Reader.

For offline data analysis, since you're more familiar with Python, I'd recommend you to use the "open-ephys-python-tools". More details on how to perform data analysis using it can be found here

Best,
Anjal
