combining with electrical fear foot shock

Hi,

We are planning to combine electrical fear foot shock experiment (~1mA) and electrophysiological recording. Although I will electrically isolate ephys systems (acquisition board and PC) using an isolation transformer (https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-IS500HG-Isolation-Transformer/dp/B00007KQKJ/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8), I still worry that the electric fear foot-shock can break the FPGA board by the inflow of large current of fear-shock. 

Also, in my past experience, it was difficult to remove the >20Hz noise generated from the fear conditioning chamber.

Does anybody have any idea to combining electrical foot shock and ephys recordings?
