Hi Josh,

The ONIX Source plugin requires the ONIX PCIe Host Firmware to be version 2.0 or higher. But after I update it to 2.0D or 2.0F, the indicator LEDs of Port A and Port B were not on in the breakout board and in the PCIe card. The Open Ephys GUI also cannot detect the ONIX system.

Then when I revert it to 1.1F, all the indicator LEDs were on again.

I think that the Firmware version 2.0 is not compatible with my PCIe card, which I bought in Mar. 2024. So how to solve this problem? Thank you.

Hi Junying,

Can you open your device manager in Windows and try to find the open ephys device after you've updated the firmware? If there is a yellow triangle next to it, you'll need to restart the computer (full power down recommended).
