Hi everyone,
Version 2.0 of the Open Ephys GUI's Neuropix-PXI and OneBox plugins are now available via the built-in Plugin Installer.
This update adds support for
Neuropixels 2.0 "Quad Base" probes, and includes a number of helpful improvements:
Survey Mode – Quickly generate an activity map across multiple probes in parallel. Survey results are displayed directly in the GUI, or can be downloaded as a JSON file for further analysis.
Enhanced Activity View – The live probe heatmap now includes an option to apply a bandpass filter and/or common average reference to the data before it's displayed. The probe browser also includes additional information, such as the distance of each electrode from the probe tip.
Broken Shank Detection – For multi-shank probes, the plugin automatically detects broken shanks. These are highlighted in pink in the probe browser. Shanks that remain yellow can still be used.
Note: This version requires a basestation firmware update (unless you’re already using the latest version of SpikeGLX).
