Hi All,

We were setting up an Open Ephys acquisition board with Opal Kelly XEM6010 on a Windows 7 PC, and ran into a problem -
After installing drivers, the Opal Kelly board was detected by the OS in the device manager.
However, when we open the GUI and drag a Rhythm FPGA into the signal chain box, we get an error message (also see the first screenshot attached):

FPGA bitfile Not Found
The rhd2000.bit file was not found in the directory of the executable. Would you like to browse for it? (Y/N)

From this prompt we choose the bit file (second screenshot), which is in the executable directory, but each time it immediately re-launches the same error message (bit file not found). We see the same error regardless of whether we point to rhd2000.bit or rhd2000_usb3.bit.
Has anyone here seen this issue before?

Much thanks,
-Josh

Hi Josh,

Can you please run the GUI with a --console parameter and copy the contents of the debug console? That might shed information on your issue. To do so, simply create a shortcut to the executable, edit it and append --console at the end of the target line.

Also, did the 6010 come from us? I assume it is a XEM6010-LX45 and not a lx150 right?

Best,
Aarón

I think I'm having the same issue. Everything was working just fine. Then, I came back to do experiments and this is the error:

Found 1 Opal Kelly device connected:
Device #1: Opal Kelly XEM6010LX45 with serial number 12320003UN

FPGA system clock: 100 MHz
Opal Kelly device firmware version: 3.1
Opal Kelly device serial number: 12320003UN i
Opal Kelly device ID string: Opal Kelly XEM6010

error usb control message: No such deviceFPGA configuration failed: Communication error with firmware.
Couldn't upload bitfile from /home/Programs/GUI-0.4.0/Builds/Linux/build/rhd2000.bit

My computer has Ubuntu 14.04 installed. The acquisition board is the old version usb2

The power supply was damaged. I replaced the power supply and everything works fine.

Dear all, we have all of a sudden, the same issue with "not found FPGA bitfile". Was this issue already solved? Any idea about the reason?
