Hello Open Ephys forum,
I have just put out the first release version of the StimJim Isolator program (1.00) for Windows 10 and 11 that I put out in beta version in Feb, 2022.
The StimJim_Isolator program is free and open source.
The StimJim_Isolator controls the StimJim stimulator to act like a stimulus isolator. One input pulse from a data acquisition system triggers one isolated mono- bi- or tri-phasic current or voltage pulse from the StimJim. Pulse voltages and currents can also be automatically incremented. It should work with any data acquisition system that can output a pulse oulse to trigger any stimulus isolator.
I have found only one major limitation with the StimJim - a low compliance voltage of 13.7 volts. This means that a 100 Kohm stimulating electrode can only output a 100 us pulse with a maximum of 137 uA.
More information on the StimJim_Isolator can be found in the on-line manual, and the program and code, can be downloaded from
winltp.com/StimJim_Isolator.html.
My understanding is that the current StinJim (0.18) from Labmaker is currently out of stock but a replacement version will be avalable fairly soon.
Cheers,
Bill Anderson
