Dear OpenEphys developers,

I have an issue about loading the ONIX data files. I found that there is only 384 channels of data in these files when I loaded the data files following the program described in this website.

https://open-ephys.github.io/bonsai-onix1-docs/articles/hardware/np1e/load-data.html

But actually, an additional channel of data should be in these files, which is the external or tip reference, similar with the continuous.dat files generated by OpenEphys[GUI].

We can use this channel of data as reference and correct the 384 channels of data.

So how can I acquire this channel of data?

Thank you.

Hi Junying,

384 channels is the expected number for these files. The subtraction of the reference signal happens across all channels prior to amplification/digitization, so this channel cannot be recorded.

The Open Ephys GUI has the option to send the PXI basestation's digital input as a 385th channel – perhaps this is what you're thinking of?
