another CBC radio interview

Hi All,

I have given a brief interview to CBC radio here in Ottawa.  The clip should air tomorrow morning, I'll post a link when I receive/find it.

I have done my best to promote open gps data as a potentially positive development for OC Transpo.  If the efficiency of the bus service can be improved, money saved, and customer satisfaction improved with the help of open gps data, this should be a win for OC Transpo and the City of Ottawa.

I regret that due to frustration related to having the data feed taken away, I have been quite negative with regards to discussion of OC Transpo on this list.  I think it would be better to begin to discuss ways that a positive, constructive facilitation process could potentially take place, akin to Transit Camp that occurred in Toronto a few years ago.

I am interested in helping organize transit camp Ottawa.  I am under a heavy deluge of work at the moment, so perhaps having a co-organizer or two would be helpful.

I am not familliar with TransitCamp in Toronto.
It is mostly about Transit or about computing or is it intentionally a
cross-over?

I ask because I'm a founder of Friends of the Otrain, now called
National Capital Transit Solutions (NCTS). We are committee of
TransportAction. (aka Transport2000).

NCTS would be happy to be the host for TransitCamp, and we can likely
find facilities at the Bronson Centre (former Immaculata School), but it
is possible that we want more network than is easy to get there.

Physical Format... is this a Saturday?
A Weekday? A week-night?

I'm guessing that it is mostly an unconference?
