Hello everyone,

Just a quick note to let you know that we've just announced the opening of the call for mini-grants for events registered for Open Data Day 2025. This year there will be a total of 36 grants of USD 300 in two separate calls - one general (22 mini-grants) and one focused on proposals from Francophone Africa (14 mini-grants).

The 2025 mini-grants are offered by the Open Knowledge Foundation (OKFN), Datopian and the Communauté d’Afrique Francophone des Données Ouvertes (CAFDO).

Greetings from Burundi and thank you so much for the announcement, it is well received.
However, I wish the numbers of grants allocated to Francophone Countries to be increased as Francophone Regions are most of the time forgotten and less supported is such events.
I myself, and our Organisation have applied many times but unsuccessfully.

Regards
