Introducing Nikesh!

Dear everyone,

I hope you are doing well during these difficult times and I am really happy that the community managed to celebrate so many ODD events all over the World.

As I said in my previous communication, we were in the process of rethinking ODD and staffing it so we could do an inclusive process.

I am thrilled to announce that Nikesh Balami from Nepal has joined the organisation to lead the ODD and related Data Activities and he will be reaching out to the community to rethink together the event, its objectives and its management.

His email address is nikesh...@okfn.org  and many of you might know him since he is the lead of OKFN Nepal.

Please join me in welcoming him and I thank you in advance for the support and collaboration you will extend to him to do excellent work together. He will be also soon updating the grants process.

I feel very grateful and excited to work with global open data communities. As Renata mentioned, I will be leading the Open Data Day and other data-related activities.

One of my priorities is to work closely with the ODD community, listen to new ideas, and facilitate the process to future decentralise ODD, with modified objectives & management. Therefore, I am very OPEN to listening to new ideas.
