I've been having a debate on the NGC4LIB list and Jonathan Rochkind
asked a question that tnagentially involved the Cooperative Cataloging
Rules, and it made me think that there are some misperceptions in at
least my view of cataloging, RDA and so on. So, I explained at least
some of my own ideas.

For your information, I've made my own blog (!! Too many), but this
one I use as a "brain dump" (as another blogger mentioned): a place
where I can just send copies of some of my replies on listservs, other
blogs and so on, so I've added some there too, if you're interested.
Mine is called "First thus" http://catalogingmatters.blogspot.com/. In
the second one I mention the CCR in a message to Ross Singer.
