Position
Summary
We are
seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst to coordinate and drive
remediation of security vulnerabilities across enterprise server environments.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure,
Server Operations, and Change Management teams to ensure vulnerabilities are
remediated in a timely, compliant, and auditable manner.
This role
is focused on vulnerability coordination, ServiceNow management, change
control, and CAB presentations, rather than hands-on server administration
or patch deployment.
Key
Responsibilities
Vulnerability
Remediation Management
- Review and prioritize security
vulnerabilities identified across enterprise systems.
- Coordinate remediation activities for
critical, high-risk, emergency, and exception-based vulnerabilities.
- Track remediation progress from assignment
through closure.
- Work with security and infrastructure teams
to ensure timely risk reduction.
- Escalate delays, blockers, and remediation
risks as necessary.
ServiceNow
Administration
- Manage vulnerability remediation activities
using ServiceNow.
- Create and maintain:
- Vulnerability Remediation Tasks (VUL)
- Change Requests
- Configuration Items (CI)
- Ensure remediation plans, implementation
details, validation results, and rollback procedures are properly
documented.
- Maintain audit-ready records throughout the
remediation lifecycle.
Change
Management & CAB Coordination
- Prepare and submit change requests related
to vulnerability remediation.
- Present remediation plans to the Change
Advisory Board (CAB).
- Communicate:
- Security risks
- Business impact
- Remediation strategy
- Testing approach
- Rollback plans
- Coordinate approved changes through
implementation and closure.
Cross-Platform
Infrastructure Coordination
- Support vulnerability remediation efforts
across:
- Windows Server
- Linux (RHEL)
- Citrix environments
- Collaborate with platform administrators
and subject matter experts.
- Ensure remediation activities are
consistently tracked and reported.
Reporting
& Compliance
- Maintain accurate remediation metrics and
status reports.
- Track:
- Open vulnerabilities
- Change approvals
- Implementation progress
- Validation evidence
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and
leadership reporting.
- Identify process improvements to increase
remediation efficiency.
Required
Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of vulnerability remediation or
vulnerability management experience.
- 3+ years of ServiceNow experience,
including Change Management and IT Remediation Workspace.
- Strong understanding of Change Management
processes.
- Experience presenting changes to CAB
(Change Advisory Board).
- Knowledge of Windows Server, Linux (RHEL),
and Citrix environments.
- Excellent organizational and coordination
skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication
abilities.
Preferred
Qualifications
- Experience in government, regulated, or
large enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with CSOC/SOC and vulnerability
management workflows.
- Experience handling emergency or
out-of-band remediation activities.
- Exposure to audit, compliance, and security
evidence collection.
- Experience managing high-risk vulnerability
remediation programs.
