Job Summary

HHSC is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect with extensive experience in Master Data Management (MDM), Informatica, ETL development, and Enterprise Information Management (EIM). The selected candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide MDM solutions supporting healthcare provider, member, and reference data domains.

The architect will work closely with business stakeholders, data architects, analytics teams, and IT leadership to establish trusted master data, improve data quality, enable data governance, and support enterprise analytics initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions using Informatica technologies.
  • Develop and maintain Informatica MDM, PowerCenter, and IDMC-based solutions.
  • Build and support ETL processes integrating data from Oracle, Snowflake, and other enterprise systems.
  • Design logical and physical data models using Erwin, ER/Studio, or similar data modeling tools.
  • Implement identity resolution, data matching, data governance, and trusted master data capabilities.
  • Support metadata management, metadata loading, and governance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with business users, data architects, and subject matter experts to define master data requirements.
  • Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure solutions comply with organizational coding standards, security requirements, and data governance policies.
  • Troubleshoot data quality, integration, and master data issues across multiple systems.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture artifacts, and solution designs.
  • Support AI-enabled data initiatives by developing prompt strategies, validating AI-generated outputs, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  • Communicate technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Informatica development experience.
  • 8+ years of ETL development experience.
  • 8+ years of Enterprise Information Management (EIM) experience.
  • 8+ years of Master Data Management (MDM) design and implementation experience.
  • 8+ years of Informatica PowerCenter development experience.
  • 8+ years of data modeling experience using Erwin, ER/Studio, or equivalent tools.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and enterprise data architecture.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and technical writing skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud).
  • Experience with Oracle databases and Oracle DBA activities.
  • Experience with Snowflake data platforms.
  • Experience installing and configuring Informatica Metadata Manager.
  • Experience architecting large-scale MDM environments.
  • Healthcare, Medicaid, or Human Services domain experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
