Hi all,
Here is an update on the new board. We just completed building and testing the first article for the Open Access Mega run of boards, and the two beta sites have been using the prototype and Mega code successfully for about 2 months. Thanks go to the Mojave Makers for finding and fixing 2 bugs.
I'll be making 25 in this run. I'm going to be in Asia for about 2 weeks, but the parts and stencils should be in when I return.
The new board has some additional features everyone asked for. There are 16 inputs, 8 relays, RS485 and a 1Mbit eeprom which can thousands of users inter ally or logging info. The additional memory and gpio pins on the Mega will make the Ethernet shield and other add-ons easier to work with.
Price with all options will be around $150. I'm also considering doing boards without the RS485 and 1Mbit eeprom for less, and kits. The SMT parts are all 0805 and SOIC.
Is anyone here interested in the kit form?
John
Could the next version include the mega chip on this board? It that even possible? Would others want this as well?
