Congratulations again on your projects acceptance at KDD Cup. We look forward to having your project.

I noticed in your proposal that you had proposed to use a web platform called biendata. However, if you are open to suggestions, I would like to introduce you to @Addison Howard from Kaggle/Google.

My understanding is that Kaggle may be interested in hosting your project and featuring it for free.

Hi Tim,

Thanks very much for your suggestions! We adopt biendata as the competition platform for the following reasons. Biendata has hosted KDD Cup 2015, 2018 and 2020. Notably, in the years 2015 and 2018, biendata.xyz achieved a record-breaking level of participation in the KDD Cup, surpassing previous records. Biendata has rich experience in competition organization and user base.

Based on your advice, we're considering adding dataset pages and competition links on Google/Kaggle.

OAG KDD Cup team -

Thanks again for getting the KDD Cup up and running. It looks like things are going well so far. I know its still a bit early, but we've been asked to start thinking about planning the KDD Cup workshop day at KDD in Barcelona.

This year there are three KDD Cup competitions, so we are hoping that we could split a single day into a relay of the three competitions where one has the baton for two hours and then hands it off to the next organizer: Our tentative assignment looks like this (date TBD still) all times Barcelona-local

10:00-12:00: Amazon
13:30-15:30: Meta
16:00-18:00: OAG

Do you have any objections to this or were you expecting anything different?

Hope all is going well with your competition. There has been a few requests and changes on the organizational size of things. Your KDD Cup Workshop has changed times slightly:

KDD CUP - Amazon	Tuesday, August 27^th	10:00 – 15:30 (break for lunch between 12:00-13:30)
KDD CUP - OAG	Tuesday, August 27^th	16:00 – 18:00
KDD CUP - Meta	Wednesday, August 27^th	10:00 – 15:30 (break for lunch between 12:00-13:30)

We notice that there are three tracks scheduled for OAG Challenge. Given the breadth of content and discussions anticipated, we are wondering if it would be possible to extend the total time slot to three hours.

Additionally, we want to inquire about the conference facilities. Will there be poster display boards available for us to showcase participants' posters?

Hi Fanjin,

Due to space limitations at the CCIB, and the need for a 3-hour time slot, OAG’s KDD Cup will most likely need to move to Monday from 14:00-18:00. Can you please confirm if this will this work for you?
