Decreasing Publication Count

Dear everyone,

I see that the Publication Count (130,710,733) in OAG 3.1 is less than that of the previous version (OAG 3.0 contains 174,499,440 pubs). I would like to ask how this was handled. why is the amount of data decreasing?

Hi Zhao,

There are several reasons. 1. We have removed data that poses risks for public use. 2. The paper deduplication algorithm has been upgraded to exclude duplicate data. 3. Non-paper data has been excluded.
