Inquiry regarding KDD 2024 Workshop Acceptance and Presentation

Dear KDD 2024 Organizing Committee,

I hope this email finds you well. My name is Zhixiang Lu, and I am the team leader of Team 'Leo Lu', which ranked in the top 10 for the WhoIsWho-IND task of the OAG-Challenge Workshop 2024. We recently received an Accept (Oral) decision for our submission on the OpenReview.

I have a few questions regarding this acceptance and would greatly appreciate your clarification:

1. Does the Accept result on OpenReview automatically mean our paper is included in the KDD proceedings? If not, what are the implications if we are unable to present orally as requested?

2. Given our Accept (Oral) decision, is an in-person oral presentation mandatory? In case of unavoidable circumstances such as insufficient funding or visa issues, would it be possible to arrange for an online presentation? If an online option is not available, do you have any alternative suggestions? What would be the consequences if we are unable to present orally?

Hi Zhixiang,

1. The KDD Cup workshop will not have formal proceedings. The accepted results mean the presentation format.

2. If you cannot attend the KDD 2024 in person, you can give your oral presentation at the OAG-Challenge workshop online.
