How to add links to a certain 3D object?

I wonder if there is any way to add a hyperlink to a certain 3D object
(for example, a specific ear on a human body), so that it could link
to other websites, such as wikipedia entry for "ear"?

This would be very useful for education purposes.

I totally agree. I am very much interested in linking my 3D model to the database that I work for so that various types of metadata can be accessed.
