Dear YEE Member Organisations,
We're embarking on this journey to amplify the youth perspective and influence within the Council of Europe while focusing on the crucial issue of the Right to a Healthy Environment recommendation. By immersing ourselves in discussions on participation, human rights, and environmental protection, we aim to ensure that the voices of young people are integral in shaping policy recommendations, as well as to create a platform where your insights and contributions can drive tangible change, fostering a global community dedicated to environmental advocacy.
Join us in this study session as we work together to pave the way for a brighter, greener future!
This training is for you if:
The training will be held in the European Youth Center Budapest, for 6 days, with an additional two days for arrival and departure.The participants will have cost of travel, accommodation and food covered.

- Dates of Sessions: 27.05.2024 - 01.06.2024
- Dates of Travel: Arrival - 26.05.2024 & Departure - 02.06.2024
- Location of training: European Youth Center Budapest, Hungary
- Application deadline: 24th of March
This training is for you if:
- You and your sending organisation are based in one of the Council of Europe countries.
- You are between the ages of 18 - 35 at the time of the event.
- You have background in and are already actively engaged in environmental & human rights activism and youth work.
- Deepen your knowledge and understanding of young people in the sphere of environmental rights and map ways of addressing environmental rights challenges in different realities.
- Be introduced to the CM/REC (2022)20 Recommendation (in relation to human rights and the protection of the environment) by reflecting on the nature, content and implications of the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment.
- Map what is already being done, what needs to be improved, what needs to be started in relation to Recommendation and the different current realities.
- Develop your skills and knowledge in mobilising youth for the recognition of the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment through advocacy, educational and policy frameworks.
- Work to create tools for young people and civil societies to understand and foster the recognition of the right to a clean, healthy and sustainable environment as a human right.
The training will be held in the European Youth Center Budapest, for 6 days, with an additional two days for arrival and departure.The participants will have cost of travel, accommodation and food covered.

*Kindly note that:
a) There is a 50 euro participation fee that will be deducted from the travel cost.
b) We accept a maximum of 2 applications from each organisation. In cases where we cannot accept both applicants, YEE will undergo in internal selection procedure that will aim at picking the best candidates (ensuring at least 1 candidate per MO is present).
*Kindly note that:
a) There is a 50 euro participation fee that will be deducted from the travel cost.
b) We accept a maximum of 2 applications from each organisation. In cases where we cannot accept both applicants, YEE will undergo in internal selection procedure that will aim at picking the best candidates (ensuring at least 1 candidate per MO is present).
