uploading email addresses

I have a list of 496 email addresses in an Excel file. I have saved it as a .txt file, but that gets rejected when I try to upload. I have tried .csv format and it also gets rejected. How do I upload this list of 496 addresses?

Hi Ken,

Make sure it is a plain text file (no unicode characters), with one email per line.

I attach an example file in this format.

I am getting this message: Voter file contains binary characters and cannot be uploaded.

my file is just email addresses and saved as .txt

How do I avoid binary characters?
