Hello,

I have a problem with CKEditor4, which is not a secure version. I've tried to send a vote from several browsers (Chrome, Firefox) and several computers, and I always get this error. When I press Start voting, nothing happens. What should I do?

Thanks

Hi Donat,

Sorry about that, we're experiencing some issues with our built-in text editor.

We've deployed a workaround and you should be able to edit your election and start voting now.

Hi Ana,

I've just tried it. I no longer get the red message, but the vote is still blocked.

Hi Donat,

That is an unfortunate surprise. Let’s see what we can do to get that fixed.

Can you tell us what happens when you try to start an election? Screenshots could be helpful.

Thanks,
— Damien, Team OpaVote

Hi Damien,

when I click on Start Voting, the pop-up asking if everything is OK appears. I click on OK. Then the voting page returns to edit mode, as if I hadn't started the vote.

Hello Donat,

Thank you for that information. After investigating we were able to identify the problem.

It appears that we have a bug that is preventing the app from showing an error if the election has no voters or has invalid or duplicate voter emails. We are currently working on a fix.

In the meantime, you can go to the "Voters" tab of your election to make sure you have voters and you do not have any invalid or duplicate emails. If you have duplicate emails, you can use the "Clean emails" button to eliminate the duplicates. After that, you should be able to start your election.

Please let us know if you have any other issues.

Sincerely,
— Damien

I did indeed have 2 duplicate emails.
Thanks for the quick solution. I was able to start voting.
