Candidate List not showing for Voter in China

Hi, Jeff and list,

I've presently debugging issues with a vote from a colleague in China.  Their observed problem is that the candidate list does not appear and thus the Vote button is not active.

The problems have been noticed on the Chrome and Opera browswers (levels not reported).

We've found the following errors in the Console output and continue to debug:

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE font-awesome.min.css:1

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE bootstrap.min.js:1

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE jquery.min.js:1

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE jquery-ui.min.js:1 

Failed to load resource: net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE bootstrap.min.css:1

Given that these are both served over the internet, my guess is that the following sites are being blocked:

• ajax.googleapis.com
• maxcdn.bootstrapcdn.com

Any insight/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jeff,

Sorry, I don't have any helpful info.  I don't know if China blocks those resources or if they are blocked somewhere else, but they can't use our voting page if they are blocked.

Thanks, Jeff.  I understand.

I can confirm that my colleague acknowledged that he cannot reach those websites.  Given the sensitivity around Internet connectivity, I did not pursue a detailed explanation.

So, I provide this information for historical purposes in case others encounter similar issues.  I don't expect any action here from the OpaVote team.
