Disable / remove default voting instructions

Is there a way to disable the default voting instructions because they can be misleading.
Example:
We have an approval voting with multiple winners and multiple candidates.
The default instruction says: 
Instructions: Please select or unselect a(!) choice.
I see a clear danger that this will confuse people, or that they think they can only cast a single vote on this ballot. And it does not look good to tell them to ignore this line and follow our own instructions.

I just want to bump this thread because we have our annual elections again. The non editable instruction text is still a problem. Ideally I would like to be able to edit all text on the ballot, or at least have the option to disable the instructions so we can use our own.

I just want to add a suggestion: Why not just remove the instructions completely, but put your text as a template text into the "description" section? That would make it editable, and people can still use the template text.
