I have a member who states she has not received the invite even after her email has been added. I have verified that the email is spelled correctly (I have directly copy and pasted it), and future attempts to 're-add' it bounce back stating that the member has already been invited.

She has a standard gmail email address, and her husband was able to successfully get the invite - so it's not like she's just not looking for the right thing.

Is there any way to manually resend the email before the "reminder" time?

Thank you,

-Thomas

Hi Thomas,

In your election management console, you can see if OpaVote confirms the email as delivered, or if there was some issue. It is possible that this voter has in the past opted out of receiving OpaVote emails, or that there was some technical issue that prevented email delivery. That will help you diagnose the situation.

It is not possible to re-send the email before the reminder time. What you can do is to disable this voter's email address, and instead provide them with a voting code so that they can vote in your election.

Hi Thomas,

You can find the link in the "Voting" section of your Election management page. Look for the text "provide this link to code voters":

When managing your election, look for the section titled "Remind or Add Voters". In that section you can "Add email voters" or you can "Add code voters".

If you add a "code voter", OpaVote will give you a unique secret code that a voter can use to enter a vote. You can then provide this code and the voting link to the voter yourself. If you are providing a voting code to someone who you already added as an email voter, make sure to disable their email from the voting roll before you give them the voting code, to make sure they can't double-vote.

To disable an email voter, go to the list of voter emails, by clicking on the link "XXX email voters". Then in the list click on the email you want to disable, and then on that email page click "disable".

Everything I see indicates that the email was successfully delivered - they just do not have it on their end unfortunately. This is a pretty competent person, so I believe it's not an issue on their end.

I may have to disable them and look into what exactly a "voting code" is. Thank you!
