The causes can be many... here's a few things to check first off:
1) Is your ooTunes server computer on, and still connected to the
internet?
2) Is the computer running ooTunes logged into the account that is
running ooTunes?
3) Is the computer's sleep disabled (sleeping will make ooTunes
inacessible.)
4) Is ooTunes actually running? (can you access it locally by going
to
http://localhost:1979 )?
5) Can you access ooTunes on the local network (but from a different
computer) using
http://localip:1979 or
http://computername.local:1979)?
If not, your os firewall is likely to blame.
6) If all of those are yes, then the last possibility is that your
local ip address changed and your router/firewall isn't sending it the
correct traffic. Did you setup a static local ip address or are you
using dhcp?
