Subject: [52N SWE] 52°North SOS 3.1.0 released
To: s...@52north.org

Hi,

a new release of the 52°North Sensor Observation Service is available and can be downloaded at:
http://52north.org/download/Sensor%20Web/sos/52N-swe-sos-3.1.0.zip .

This release introduces an HTTP-GET binding for the DescribeSensor operation and the GetObservation operation and a new version of
the CapabilitiesCache which is actualized periodically. Another major enhancement is that the build process has been changed from
Apache Ant to Apache Maven. The Transactional Profile has been extended to support category and spatial observations and is stable
now.

Summary of bug fixes:

Bug 155: SRS is not changed in Capabilities and GetObservation response, if coordinates have been transformed
Bug 167: Undeployment does not proceed successfully (postgis.jar not deleted)
Bug 169: Temporal filter could not be parsed in GetObservation request, if namespace of OGC namespace is other than 'ogc'
Bug 194: SOS crash if database server is not reachable
Bug 215: GMLDecoder has errorenous Timezone handling
Bug 216: SensorMLEncoder creates invalid documents, createPosition()
Bug 219: DescribeSensor: Java Heap Space Error if SensorML is too big
Bug 223: GetObservation -> ObservationCollection: BoundingBox has wrong x,y-order and no srs defined; axis order of transformed
coordinates is wrong
Bug 230: GetCapabilities Property ""updateSequence"" is not updated properly
Bug 233: ResultFilter does not work properly in GetObservation operation
Bug 239: GetObservation - mandatory param offering is not queried
Bug 247: getCapabilities on an 'empty' offering (or SOS) causes exception
Bug 268: Time parse Exception when requesting GetObservationById

Visit the SOS website at http://52north.org/maven/project-sites/swe/sos/index.html for more information.

Cheers,

Christoph
