Sorry for the cross posting but I know I had promised some
individuals a new version of the OOSTethys PERL Toolkit at http://
code.google.com/p/oostethys/

This is to explain the delay.

Work to add IOOS DIF 0.6 responses has been completed for some time.
A working version has been set up at:

http://www.neracoos.org/cgi-bin/sos/oostethys_sos_dif.cgi?
request=GetCapabilities

There is also the same script running with two flags set:
use_DIF = 0
use_DIF_properties = 0

http://www.neracoos.org/cgi-bin/sos/oostethys_sos_swe.cgi?
request=GetCapabilities

Prior to publishing the toolkit I decided to test the code against
the OGC's CITE TEAM Engine for SOS as a result of Manil Maskey use of
the tests in his CSW registry work which found errors with the PERL
OOSTethys SOS at GoMOOS.
See:
http://cite.opengeospatial.org/betaTesting (The SOS test is still
considered Beta)

I had some success and corrected and improved the source code. In
fact reached a state of Passed 52 and Failed 0 tests, but still had
various issues with testing eventTime which were being skipped for
some reason.
I was about to write up my findings and recommendations to pass along
to other OOSTethys developers but when I went to back to retest
discovered problems with TEAM Engine tester itself.

These have been recognized and I just found out hopefully fixed. You
can see the discussions here:

http://feature.opengeospatial.org/forumbb/viewforum.php?f=3
Topic: SOS 1.0.0 Muenster Reference Implementation Down

Turns out the problem has still not been fixed.

Either way I plan on releasing the Toolkit on Monday, either with or
without the CITE sections. I hate to introduce a lot of changes
unless it results in passing.

Eric
