Hi Sana,

I'm not knowleadgeable enough on SWE or the other technical references you make to be much help, the Oostethys code I believe is mainly intended to give a specific basic subset of possible SWE functionality(GetCapabilities,GetSensor,GetObservations) which may or may not intersect with your other goals.  I'm passing your message along to the oostethys google group in case any else wants to address your questions.

Sorry to not be of more help,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I saw your profile and activities in Oostethys forum, You look Profesional
in this domain :)
Plz, I need Your help and your advices, I am new in this field, I do my
master aiming to integrate the OGC's SWE services into Contiki OS and parse
the XML format of the services into JSON (making into consideration the
sensor nodes 's constraints).
So, as a first step, I should test the existing SWE standards, but I
didn't know how I can? I have installed APache TOMCAT, then I followed this
tutorial (the ContikiOS use C language) so the I think that JAVA is more
suit for it:
http://code.google.com/p/oostethys/wiki/JavaServerInstructions

I succesfully install the Oostethys in the appsweb folder.
Now I am blocked, I don't know what should I do? what about the
configuration file? how can I translate it to be able to test SWE services
and what should I add? if there are tutorials or something others plz send
them to me.
Plzz help me, the time pass quickly and I don't start yet my
implementation.
Thnx for your prompt response that I really need.

Best Regards,
Sana.

Hi Sana,

The Java OOSTethys toolkit requires that your data or observation's be
stored in NetCDF files or in a remote THREDDS server.
I've cc'd Luis Bermudez who developed this code. Not sure if he has
time to devote to this but I am somewhat familiar with the tomcat SOS
server.
The configuration file needs to point to either a local NetCDF file or
a THREDDS server using OPenDAP URL. Are you familiar with those file
formats?

There are other OOSTethys toolkits in other languages. Are you
familiar with PERL? The PERL toolkit allows you to server observation
from simple local CSV files.
