OOPIC dead ?

i am looking to develop some device and was using years ago the OOPIC
(still got a working one with old IDE ver 5). I have seen some people
still selling old OOPIC but it seems these are the last ones.
It also seems all trace of the original OOPIC are gone (hardware
software) but some pieces of informations
here and there speaks about a new OOPIC, while it seems impossible to
get a full set (hardware, instructions, software) and the most of the
"OOPIC is BACK" topic are already 1 year old.
Should i wait or go to some other platform ?
the BrainMonkey web site is very useless in the current form.
For the sake of everybody, thanks to make it clear for once.
