BrainMonkey Parallel port problem

Hi,
My BrainMonkey doesn't recognise the LPT1 Parallel port in the cable
configuration screen (Win Vista), I have tried enabling "Legacy P&P"
on the port's setting under device manager but without success.
Anyone have any idea how to make it work? or how to make the old
compiler run under vista, that would be an option as well.
