Occam's razor essentially states that the answer to a question is
usually the answer which makes the fewest assumptions, so the simplest
explanation is usually the correct one. So with that in mind, I ask
current moo moos of all levels, be alright to axe yo self a question--
which one makes more sense?

Do on honestly believe that you are practicing a thousands of years
old martial art style which predates literally every other style? and
do you honestly believe that literally all other styles are inferior
compared to yours? Or, is this simply, in a word, pure hubris and
bullshit? You train something that was so hidden that literally not
one single other person outside of your style has ever heard of your
"lineage" or seen what you do, and there are literally no other
documented sources of your school despite there being numerous records
of history for every other style out there....or you are simply doing
something that was created a few years and decades ago?

Do you honestly believe all other martial art styles are jealous of
your school, because they obviously cannot compare to your greatness,
or, is it more likely that 1, they have never even heard of you at all
and 2, if they have, the negative reports and interactions with you
have been basically 100% negative and well documented?

Do you honestly believe that the government was seriously concerned
regarding the growth of CMQ (the precursor to OYD) and felt threatened
that one day in the not too distant future kim would one day take over
the government (and yes I was told this on more than one occasion!!!
"grandmaster can set the government straight by himself") and THAT is
why the tax case began and subsequent jail sentences were handed
out...or is it more likely that the government just wanted it's tax
money back because the school didn't pay it?

Do you honestly believe that persons such as myself who speak out
against the abuses of OYD (including sexual and psychological abuse on
some female students) are merely jealous disgruntled former
instructors who couldn't keep up, who "shirked our responsibilities",
who are now "spreading negative" and are the "walking dead".....or do
we each to a man have legitimate insight as to the true nature of your
organization?

Do you honestly believe that one day, some day, eventually if you just
keep "going through" you'll get to the point to where you won't have
to worry about money and will live a "comfortable life"....or do you
see yourself going into debt year after year after year after year,
and your existence seems to be only to enrich those few above you?

Take herbs, for example--if I say I have access to and make VERY
strong external and internal formulas that in my honest experience far
out shine anything OYD has ever had to offer, do you feel your blood
pressure rising? Do you IMMEDIATELY feel threatened by this and do you
IMMEDIATELY begin to think that I MUST be incorrect about
this? ... ... ... or, have you been conditioned by your school to see
the world as an us-vs-them mentality, and have been mentally trained
to have cult-like thoughts regarding the superiority of everything
OYD?

Do you honestly believe that you owe some people out in CA "back
debt"...or are you getting bilked out of money from the organization
in which you serve?

Do you honestly believe that kim can give himself cancer and then cure
it (was told this, again, more than once), that kim can lead you to
"enlightenment", that kim can perform "miracles", that kim can jump
off buildings and fly down and land unhurt....or is nearly everything
you know and believe about kim just something you have accepted
without ever seeing this for your self?

Do you find yourself going into elaborate justifications and answers
to these above questions so as to avoid the alternative and very
simple answers staring you right in the face....or are you willing to
see your situation for what it REALLY is?

Does that make sense?

Pretty different, right?

Its funny. I was watching an Anthony Bourdain "NO Reservations" and he was in Korea. He visited a TKD school.  The school appeared to be relaxed enough and lacked the strict discipline and mind control aspects of OYD.  But, boy, did these kids have serious technique, speed and agility.  They were martial artists in the most serious sense when it got down to business.  I could see how a similarly gifted Korean immigrant to the midwest could hoodwink a bunch of kids in the 70's and 80's.  But, given what is available on the internet and cable or through recent immigrants from just about everywhere bringing their talents, OPEN UP YOUR EYES. YOU ARE BEING TAKEN FOR A HELLUVA RIDE.

Save some money and find a reputable teacher like OneMind, RoyalDragon or Manik.

Jeez

I'm not really that good yet, but I have WAY BETTER skill than I did when I was in OYD.
