I remember the flyers in the late 80's promoted Kim being on the set
or something like that ---- So back in the day I rented the movie on
vhs and looked for any mention of Kim or Chun Moo Quan in the credits,
nothing was found---------always wondered what the connection was ----
If anyone knows anything, please post

The story I heard was that JCK was there with Frank Kucia, and that
JCK felt the masters that were
demonstrating were unworthy. Having seen enough he sent Frank Kucia up
to take the mike from whoever
was the MC and introduce JCK. He was sitting in a folding chair and
shot up and out landing in the middle of
the floor, the folding chair trailed behind him caught up in the
awesome power JCK had displayed. JCK demonstrated
movement and sword form, the crowd was in total awe.

Translation of Moo speak:
The early flyers made it sound like it was a huge production event,
What it really was was

"Master Han held a demonstration on the lot of Warner Brothers for
employees."

How did JCK get on the lot? was security tight back in the 70's?

My guess is that JCK probably knew MASTER BONG SOO HAN

or was training from him, recycling the movement. I don't think there
were schools yet in

1971.

Come to think of it Frank Kucia came from the Chicago area, How is it
that he was in california

with JCK in 1971? The timeline does not make sense.

The story I heard was the Frank Kucia was one of the origional
students in Chicago, that when MN

schools were opened they pulled the other three from California Long
Beach, Jerry Barfield, Joe Jakosalem

and Alex Gutierez, but the schools in long beach would not have been
opened until mid to late 70's. So Frank

could not have been there in 1971.

Or maybe I misunderstood the conversation.

which in turn led to:

(wait for it)

"In 1975, after the untimely death of martial arts actor Bruce Lee,
Warner Brothers motion picture studios began their search for a
replacement. After auditioning martial arts "experts" from around the
world, Grandmaster "Iron" Kim was asked to screen test and was
subsequently pronounced Warner Brothers selection. "
